In cold weather, CRIC is here to help. Our "Winter Ready" program has
three important parts to make sure everyone in the community stays safe and warm
Cold Weather Emergency Kits
We call it "Winter Essentials" These kits have things like warm blankets and food that don't spoil. We give these kits to people and families facing the freezing cold to make sure they have what they need.
Cold Weather Emergency Shelter
We call it "Safe Haven" This is a safe and warm place for people when the weather is really bad. It's not just a place to stay; we also offer help and support to address other things they might need.
Acquire Shelter Property
"Building Future Homes" is our plan to get spaces where we can make permanent shelters. This way, we're not just helping for a short time; we're working towards having places for people to live safely in the long term.
Why Winter Ready Matters
Winter Ready is important because it's about keeping everyone safe
and warm when it gets cold. By giving emergency kits, teaching skills for jobs,
offering a safe place during bad weather, and planning for permanent shelters,
we're showing that we care about the community.
Join Us in Building Winter Ready
Winter Ready is something we do together. We invite everyone in the community
to help us make sure everyone stays warm and safe, not just in winter but all the time.
